It’s been pretty quiet in the smartphone world since the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S6 at Mobile World Congress. The next question on the table is, when will the S6 be released? We know that the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 were released in April, and it appears that the S6 will follow suit. According to MarketWatch, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available on Boost Mobile and other major phone carriers customers on April 10th.
The S6 is unlike any other Samsung Galaxy phone, with its all-glass body and metal frame the S6 appears to be taking a chapter out of Apples playbook. With the design changes Samsung made to the S6, and the overall popularity of Samsung devices there is a good chance it will be hard to find the smartphone on April 10th. To prevent heartache, we would suggest pre-ordering the S6 through your carriers website.
Samsung has some catching up to do as Apple is coming off a record-breaking quarter with the release of their iPhone 6. Apple did so well, they surpassed Samsung by obtaining 20.4% of the smartphone market share. However, Samsung’s design overhaul and powerful hardware has set them up for success. Now it’s just a waiting game to see if smartphone owners think the updates are worth the switch.

I am personally excited for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6, and knowing that Boost Mobile and other major phone carriers will release the phone on April 10th brings joy to my heart. This is probably due to the fact that April 10th is my birthday, and I now have a legitimate chance of talking my wife into letting me buy it! The month-to-month pricing of the S6 looks a little something like this:
32GB Galaxy S6- $22.82 per month
32GB Galaxy S6- Edge $27.17 per month
32GB Galaxy S6- $28.33 per month
32GB Galaxy S6- Edge $32.49 per month

32GB Galaxy S6- Edge $85 per month (includes cellular service)
32GB Galaxy S6- $699
Currently, Verizon is the only phone carrier that has announced a non-month-to-month price at $199 after a $50 mail in rebate and new two-year agreement. Additionally, Verizon has priced the S6 Edge at $299 after a $50 mail in rebate and new two-year agreement. As for Sprint customers, we only know that they will be leasing their phone with a cellular service. However, it’s likely that they will also have month-by-month payment plan similarly priced to the other carriers.
